MidState Arc’s Philosophy on Independent Living
Midstate Arc, in active partnership with families, promotes and advocates for people of all ages living with developmental disabilities, helping them to reach their full potential and become valued, respected, and connected members of their community through all means including Assistive Technologies. The agency is continually re-evaluating its services and redesigning supports to better meet the needs, desires, and dreams of the people supported by MidState Arc in their journey to independent living.
MidState Arc has a holistic approach to services. There is no one answer to the type of support one needs to be successful; it is a group of solutions that includes, but is not limited to, assistive technology, staffing, natural supports and community resources. Transportation and relationships along with social and recreational activities are critical to success and must be built into the service design. MidState Arc will continue to grow and evolve our services and we look forward to your input and support.
